Ageing in the Bush: An ageing in place strategy for Regional Western Australia
The State Wide Ageing in the Bush project was an initiative of the Regional Development Council of Western Australia with the objective to “identify aged care models for regional WA that will enable residents to age in their community”.
A number of models to address state wide issues have been developed.

Arizona and the Aging Homeless Population: Preparing for the Future
Current US research reveals evidence of an aging trend in the single adult homeless population. This aging trend is centered around those that are part of the latter half of the baby-boomers born between 1954-1967, a cohort of individuals that face the highest risk for homelessness.

Ageing out of place: The impact of gender and location on older Victorians in homelessness: Pilot Study Summary
This pilot study, generously supported by a grant from the Mercy Foundation (NSW), aimed to provide insight into how gender and location affect the housing and homelessness pathways and experiences of people aged 55 years and over who have experienced homelessness or housing crisis in Victoria.

Fewer seniors are disabled and more of them are financially independent, but the sheer size of the Baby Boom generation means that a large increase in the absolute number of seniors facing housing affordability and independent living challenges is inevitable.

Social Spaces Rural Places: Ageing-in-Place in Rural South Australia
This thesis argues that place, space and availability of social support are important variables for how older people successfully age-in-place. It explores place attachment, community connectedness and the social networks of people aged 70+ living independently in small rural communities in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia.

Ageing out of place? The impact of gender and location on older Victorians in homelessness: A pilot study.
It is widely acknowledged that Australia has a growing ageing population. The growing housing affordability problem is also widel y recognised. Declining rates of home ownership and a projected increase in older people in private rental are also well documented. The numbers of older people vulnerable to homelessness will increase. This has implications for the homelessness services system.
