What constitutes a good place to age? A qualitative exploration of the concept of home in varied aging contexts
This research explores Chinese older adults’ perceptions of home in varied aging contexts and assesses the process of obtaining a feeling of home after relocation in an old age.
Two sets of qualitative data were drawn for the study: one collected in Atlanta, Georgia to understand Chinese older immigrants’ home-making experiences in the U.S.

Assessing Future Potential Demands for Older Person's Care Homes and Dementia Housing in London
This study was undertaken in 2017 to provide background information to the emerging London Plan. It updates borough based benchmarks of demand for specialist older persons housing which accompanied Further Alterations to the London Plan. Specialist older persons housing refers to self-contained accommodation and includes extra care and assisted living type schemes.

Youths living with the elderly – a Finnish example
A pilot program in Finland sees a small group of young people live together with seniors in a Helsinki home, in return for spending a number of hours a week with their elderly neighbours.
The project aims to prevent homelessness in young people by helping them with secure and affordable housing, while at the same time increasing social interactions of the senior residents.

'We're so far behind': Canada unprepared for housing needs of rising senior population
As the number of seniors continues to grow, experts say Canada is failing to prepare for the housing and home care needs of an aging population. Statistics Canada 2016 census figures revealed that the country recorded its greatest increase in the proportion of seniors.
