Bob is 89 years old and a world war two veteran. Bob’s family members are abusive towards him. They often scream and swear at him. Bob has put a padlock on his bedroom door as family members enter his bedroom and steal items including money. On pension day they pressure Bob to hand over his pension money. Bob’s grandson sometimes hits him and has attempted to strangle Bob.

Victoria's Office of Housing is under investigation for pursuing tenants over minor maintenance costs........

The charity HammondCare says despite Sydney having twice as many homeless as Melbourne, there are only a third as many beds for the older homeless than in Melbourne.

HammondCare in Sydney  are going to set up the first Wintringham-type aged care facility for older homeless people.

This report is an analysis of the first two years of the Home at Last service and the thousands of older people who have sought help because they are at risk of homelessness.

The data shows that a large number of older people in Victoria are struggling to cope with their day to day living and are constantly on the edge of homelessness.
