Affordable, accessible, and well-located housing is central to quality of life for people of all ages, but especially for older adults. However, the existing housing stock in the US is unprepared to meet the escalating need for affordability, accessibility, social connectivity, and supportive services. The public policy challenges are immense. This report looks at the country's ageing population, housing security, accessibility needs, social connection and community support and how they impact on housing for an ageing society.
