Older people need safe, secure and affordable housing as they age. But more and more people don’t have a secure place to live, or are becoming homeless. We need your help to solve this problem! We are looking for people who can help us engage with the community so that they can access our services. We will be providing a 5 week training for you to become a community educator. Through this training, you can either choose to become a bilingual educator, a community educator for the LGBTI community or a general community educator who can link older people at risk of homelessness to HAAG services.

HAAG have identified three key areas of significant age-related discrimination; Financial discrimination, employment discrimination and housing discrimination.

HAAG acknowledges that some groups may experience compounding discrimination based on LGBTQ+ status, disability status, being culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) or being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.
