How does the NSW Housing Crisis affect you?

Ageing on the Edge - National Action Project, along with a coalition of organisations, have begun a campaign to improve the dire situation facing older tenants in New South Wales.

Through operating our Home at Last service in Victoria we know that things are tough for older people in the private rental market. We've heard that things are bad for older people in New South Wales but we need to know more about how this affects the lives of people everyday.

Gemma Interviewing LewWe are looking to interview people 55 years and older who live in privately rented homes.

How do rising rents affect you? Do you feel secure in your accommodation? Is your accommodation a safe, healthy place to live?

Going beyond the statistics, your story can help us tell decision makers how rising housing prices and a lack of decent long-term housing can hurt older people. These interviews will form the basis of a report which we will use to push for urgent action to ensure safe, affordable housing for all older people.

We would also like to hear from older renters in NSW who would be interested in being part of our housing rights campaign.

To participate in this important research fill in this form below and we’ll be in touch. Alternatively please contact Jeff Fiedler on 03 9654 7389 or email Jeff at jeff.fiedler@oldertenants.org.au

We’d love to hear from you
