An estimated 100,000 older women are at risk of homelessness in Queensland. This online forum will present the latest trends and responses to this crisis, including analysis of the Census 2021 household data and information on the Queensland Government’s responses.

We will hear from the Housing Older Women’s Movement on the reality of this experience for older women in Queensland, Professor Wendy Stone from Swinburne University on what the data is telling us, the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economies on relevant initiatives under the Queensland Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2021-2025 and Footprints Community about the new Housing Older Women Support Service.
