Jey is a 57 year old woman from China. She dropped in to our service in May 2019. During the intake assessment, we communicated through a mandarin interpreter via the VITS services.  At the time of the drop-in she was couch-surfing at  a friend’s house, who had then asked her to leave as she could not keep assisting her any further.

Climate Change: A Housing Issue

23 Oct 2019
After HAAG members and workers joined the climate strike on September 20, I wanted to find out more about the connections between climate change and older people's housing. In this episode I talk to Emma from the Brotherhood of St Laurence about their Equity and Climate Change project, and what climate justice and housing justice have in common. If you'd like to learn more about climate change, during this episode we also discuss COTA Vic's Green Sages, "older Victorians who are helping to lead change, taking action together to improve environmental sustainability and address the impacts of climate change". As always, you can call HAAG on 1300 765 178 or 9654 7389 if you'd like to talk about anything we brought up on the show.
