The state government is warning retirees to seek advice before buying into retirement villages to avoid being thousands of dollars out of pocket. Daisy Ellery and Helen Vallack, members of Housing for the Age Action Group appear in a video produced by Consumer Affairs Victoria...


Consumer Affairs Victoria referred Mary (77) to Home at Last as she was having trouble with her current tenancy and would also need to assistance to find more suitable housing.

Issue 7 looks at Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Moveable Dwelling Registration and Standards) Regulations 2010.

The Andrews’ Government released its first Budget with a range of social spending and a particular focus on child and family services. The centrepiece of the housing and homelessness funding was $40 million over four years to continue seven Innovation Action Projects (IAP)...


Last week HAAG launched it's new film Feels Like Home, in which five of our members tell their own stories. For this weeks show, we hear excerpts from the film as Bruno and Joan talk about what it was like to experience the risk of homelessness in private rental, and how finding secure, affordable housing changed their lives. We also hear from the film's director, Toni Bentley from Bentwheel Productions. Plus, good news on HAAG's funding and of course the Bad Landlord of the Month for April.

HAAG goes Hollywood

Last week HAAG launched it's new film Feels Like Home, in which five of our members tell their own stories. For this weeks show, we hear excerpts from the film as Bruno and Joan talk about what it was like to experience the risk of homelessness in private rental, and how finding secure, affordable housing changed their lives. We also hear from the film's director, Toni Bentley from Bentwheel Productions. Plus, good news on HAAG's funding and of course the Bad Landlord of the Month for April.
