A key part of HAAG's Early Intervention approach to homelessness is our Community Education projects. Through empowering older people with experiences of homelessness to share their stories, we reach out to diverse community groups, letting them know about our services.

There are 405,000 older women at risk of homelessness in Australia. These are stories of four of them. Vanessa, Jo, Robyn and Lynette tell their stories in this powerful video.

This zine by HAAG LGBTI reference group member Jo Waite chronicles her life through pictures of some of the many houses she slept in before finally receiving safe and affordable. The zine was originally printed for MPavillion MTalks and published online for Lesbian Visibility Day

This discussion at MPavillion will address the questions of what factors have placed older women at risk of homelessness, and what can we do to help. It will unpack the issues and policies that have created this crisis and outline pathways for advocacy and action.

Can you identify an older person experiencing or at risk of homelessness, or know what aged care services are available to them?

In OPAN's live webinar on March 30 2021 we discussed how aged care workers can support older people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. HAAG joined this panel of experts explored how to identify homelessness among older people, an overview of existing support services, service access barriers and solutions and supporting homeless or at-risk individuals to access services.
