Stories of older private renters in Melbourne. A short film based on interviews with three older people struggling to survive in the private rental market.

A lack of security of tenure, rents that consume the aged pension and sub-standard housing are barriers to successful ageing-in-place. These issues also have severe impacts on the health and wellbeing of older people.
Older private renters pay more of their income in rent than any other age group or tenure type (AIHW 2008) and those living in housing poverty have more than doubled since 2004 from 52,000 to 112,000 FaHCSIA 2009)
