A woman came in to tell us she had just been offered affordable housing.

As she was walking along the Yarra earlier that morning, she realised for the first time in ages that she wasn't thinking all the time about accommodation, accommodation, accommodation.

She had been thinking what a wonderful city Melbourne is for people on low incomes...such as the State Library where she watched Joan Sutherland singing on a large flat screen DVD and she also goes to the art gallery where they also have free movies.

She added "If you wake up in the morning and you have good health, then that is everything. The next most important thing is having a roof over your head. If you have the security of a home and can afford to live there, you have everything. You can do without food but can't do without a good home.""
